  1. SN AutoMessage v2.1

  3. The concept behind this one is basically the same as CNet's news files, with
  4. one exception.  This file is displayed everytime someone logs on, no matter
  5. how often or how many times they've seen it before, until you edit, redo or
  6. nuke it completely.

  8. Handy for things you can never emphasize enough...  (Use your imagination.)

  10. Quick & Easy Installation:

  12.  1  Place it somewhere.  (PFiles: would be good.)
  13.  
  14.  2  The following options are the default, straight-out-of-the-archive
  15.     settings:  (You may edit these options, but nothing else!  See note
  16.     below...)

  18.     edac=31 /* Min Access to Edit/Kill */
  19.     ulogs=1 /* Enable SN UserLogs? 1=Yes */
  20.     ansi=1  /* Show ANSI? 1=Yes */

  22.  3  At the bottom of the "3; Main prompt" items in bbsmenu, add the
  23.     following line:

  27.     Modify the path to suit and remember, \ = CTRL-Y and { = CTRL-Q.

  29.  4  Reload your bbstext/bbsmenu via CNet's Control Panel menu (option
  30.     #3, "Text/menu reload  RAmiga-T" and you're all set!

  32.  5  Be sure and let everyone know that the option is available.  (Add it
  33.     to your menu.)  Until they manually change it, they'll get the prompt.

  37. help file, blah blah blah plus tax...)

  41. NOTE:   I haven't worried about the little files I've released (the ones
  42.         with .readme's instead of .guide's), because I consider them as
  43.         freebies for other CNet SysOps.  As long as you're a registered
  44.         CNet owner, I don't care what you do with them.  If you make them
  45.         better, great - let me see it...  If you learn from them, super -
  46.         release your own stuff...  However, I request that none of these
  47.         be modified and released publically without my approval.  If I
  48.         see this happen (it has in the past), I just won't bother giving
  49.         out anything anymore.  No one's forcing me to do it!  I love it!
